Tromsø Friluftsenter
We are a small family business that proudly showcases local coastal culture through generations. Our guides have local roots and offer you hospitality from the heart. For us, it's not just about the Northern Lights, but about experiencing people from all corners of the world who touch our souls while they are here.
Our hometown
On the north side of Kvaløya, there is a charming place called Risvika, which is a 40-minute drive from Tromsø through an incredible landscape. This is our home, and my family has lived here for generations with farming and fishing along the coast.
As time passed, things changed, and the farm no longer had animals. One day, my father sat outside and watched the magical Northern Lights, and in that moment, he decided to share the incredible nature with others, and that's how Tromsø Friluftsenter was established.
Since 2004, we have had the pleasure of welcoming guests from all over the world into our hearts and home. Our specialty is small groups with local guides, and a family that provides an authentic sense of northern Norwegian charm. This has led our guests to return year after year.
